Extension of time to file Federal, State of Oregon and all other State Tax Returns
The April 15th, 2013 for 2012 Income Tax Returns deadline is rapidly approaching. At this point in time we at L. Burdick & Associates Income Tax, located In Eugene, Oregon are still able to prepare certain returns by the deadline. If you have not yet prepared your federal and State of Oregon tax returns for 2012 you are welcome to call and schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Even if you do not have all of your paperwork together at this time we can help you determine what is missing.
In addition, if you feel that you are unable to put your information together at this time, please contact us anyway and we will assist you by filing the 2012 Federal Form 4868 extension of time to File, the 2012 Oregon Form 40-EXT extension of time to file or any other State extension of time to file an income tax return. This will allow you until October 15, 2013 to file without any penalty or interest for failure to file a timely return. This is an extension of time to file, NOT time to pay. If you believe you owe money we can assist you in determining how much and the amount you approximately owed can be sent in to both the federal and states to avoid additional penalties and interest for owing after the April 15, 2013 deadline. Filing an extension of time to file for the Federal Return and the State of Oregon is an excellent way to allow yourself more time to compile your materials so that you will know that you have filed a complete and accurate return.
